Shock absorbers grinding

Siapi Smartech has been specializing in precision grinding for over 30 years and is able to offer its customers a complete range of products specific for the grinding of shock absorbers.

For this application, our R&D department has developed specific grinding wheels based on various parameters: type of grinding, model, installed power and coolant in use are just some of the information necessary for our technicians for the technical evaluations.

The grinding wheels most used in this application are those in rubber bond for roughing operation and rubber and cork bond for semi-finishing, finishing and lapping operations.

The rubber is able to absorb the micro-vibrations generated by the machine and guarantees excellent results on the surface roughness avoiding the optical spirals on the pieces leaving the machine.

The long life is guaranteed by the almost self-dressing effect together with a narrow range of finish, roundness and dimensional tolerance.

The multiple-grits technology allows to combine stock removal and roughness, reducing the quantity of passes. This feature allows the use of a smaller number of adjustments with consequent savings in both labor and energy.

Our technicians specialized in centerless grinding, after a careful analysis the processes on the production lines, are able to design TAILOR MADE tools, with the aim of reducing the incidence of the cost/piece ratio.
