Cylinders Grinding

Siapi Smartech has been specializing in precision grinding for over 30 years and is able to offer its customers a complete range of products specific for the grinding of cylinders for paper industry.
For this application, our R&D department has developed specific grinding wheels based on various parameters: type of grinding, model, installed power and coolant in use are just some of the information necessary for our technicians for the technical evaluations.

The grinding of paper mill cylinders is one of the most difficult processes in the industry as very long pieces and with large diameters have to be worked. The market requires the use of products which can grant an optimal surface quality together with a high finish degree.

The types of grinding wheels most used in this application are those in resin and ceramic bond for the roughing operation and rubber-cork bond for the finishing one.

Depending on the specification, the following materials can be processed: Carbon steel, chromed steel, stainless steel and bronze.
